"A new semester, a new team", this could be the motto of the RelationShip
WEB-Editorial office and his staff of the RelationShip workshop coached by
Mr. Prof. Illik. Unfortunately the interest of this workshop does not have
such a sharp rise as the numbers of students in the winter semester 1998/1999.
|
The whole team consists of twenty students and is separated into groups
like "serverfarm-administration", "Notes-Intranet", "WEB-Editorial office",
"WEB-technology" and "marketing". The WEB-Editorial office wants to publish
each workshop participant and his responsibility on a new site within the
RelationShip Homepage in order to give even more transparency between the
visitors and those who are responsible.
With a large amount of commitment, the workshop will manage, form and look
after the RelationShip Homepage in this semester.
There will be several new innovations on the RelationShip Homepage like the new
designed and finally online availabe Ship-Shop feature, a new design for the whole
RelationShip Homepage for more interaction with the user. Future
enhancements for user-guidance like "mouse-over-menu", news ticker and an
internal search engine are discussed and planed. Additionally planed is an increased
use of animations, audio and video movies to make the sites even more
attractive to a wide range of users. This will be underlined by opinion polls
and games with prices.
A little note might be allowed from my side at this point. Recently
people asked me several times, "What happened to the trimaran?" and complained
that there are no new information on the RelationShip Homepage. Well, from
August until late September the Fachhochschule Furtwangen, as well as
other Universities and colleges, has semester break and that is why it is
difficult for students to update the RelationShip Homepage. But now the new winter semester
just started and we will use this opportunity to fill this gap as soon as possible
under help of our workshop team and the WEB-Editorial office.
All these intentions are only realizable through teamwork and additional help from
other people. I want to take this opportunity to reach students, employees and professors
at the Fachhochschule Furtwangen who hadn't had a chance to be a part of the RelationShip
project. Join us and throw in creative ideas - be part of the challenge!
